Snodgrass (Westport) being very fine players. Miss Nova Campbell has held ten championships, her record being : Four times champion of Christchurch; three times holder of the Canterbury Open Championship; once champion of flagley Park; once Manawatu, and once West Coast champion. •Miss Snodgrass has been champion of • Wedtport eight tiroes, been four times West Coast champion" and oifce of Manawatu. , .. THE PLAY DESCRIBED. First hole (450 yards).—Miss Snodgrass got excellent drive and followed by a good drive by AJiss Campbell both had poor seconds. Miss Campbell's third was short, while Miss Snodgrass topped her third and had a good approach ill her fourth. Miss Campbell's fourth was short, but had a good approach, but_ lost strokes on the green and halved hole in 7. Second hole (490 yards).—Both got excellent drives and seconds, but Miss Snodgrass reached the sand bunker and had to play side shoot out; her fourth was topped. Miss Campbell got big shots and her fourth reached green. Miss Snodgrass had a short approach. Miss Campbell had a short putt and moved her sixth and eventually won the hole in 7 to Miss Snodgrass's 8. Third hole (310 yards).—Both got excellent drives. Miss Campbell's second was a yard from the hole,- while Miss Snodgrass got a good second and her approach was short. Miss Campbell missed hole in three, but won it in four to Mias Snodgrass's sixth. Her fourth putt was short, while Miss Campbell's third brought her within a few inches of the hole. She won the hole in four to Miss Snodgrass's five. I Seventh hole (310 yards).—Miss Campbell made a good drive. Miss Snodgrass . drove a high" ball and the wind pulled it out of direction. Miss Snodgrass's second and third were short and the fourth over- , approached. Miss Campbell had steady I shots and holed out in five to .Miss Snodgrass's seven. " Eighth hole (250 yards).—Miss Campbell drove out of bounds and played two I off tee; had good second, but had several j bad shots, leaving the hole to Miss Snodgrass ,who had an easy five. Ninth hole (410 yards).—Both drove well with good second and third shots. Miss Campbell's fourth was pulled and , Miss Snodgrass fourth on the green was putt, won her hole to Miss Snodgrass in six. Miss Campbell was now two up. Tenth hole (450 yard;?).—Miss Snodgrass had a good drive, but landed in gorso; got it well out and a long second ' Miss Campbell good drive and second shot Miss Snodgrass third and fourth shot. Miss Campbell turned the tables on her in the third, fourth and fifth shots. Miss Snodgrass's fifth was a long approach, ■ but ran over the hole with the sixth shot, she approached on green and took two to i hole out, while Miss Campbell wen her j hole in seven, making Miss Campbell three up. ! Eleventh hole (490 yards).—Both got ' three long shots and Miss Campbell's apj preach was short, while Miss Snodgrass i ran over the green. Both played 6 near j the hole. Miss Campbell missed short ' put in 7 and Miss Snodgrass holed out in j i^even. Twelfth hole (310 yards).—Both got exj cellent drives. Miss Campbell's second } and third shot short. Miss Snodgrass's drive landed in a sand hole, but she got it out well and was just outside the green. An excellent approach brought her near the hole and won in four. Game now one up to Miss Campbell. Thirteenth hole (150 yards).—Miss Snodgrass drove on green, Miss Campbell over green, and had a rough lie, but made a magnificent approach and putted in in three to Miss Snodgrass's four. Fourteenth hole (150 yards). Both played on green and halved hole in three. Fifteenth hole (200 yards).—-Miss Campbell's drive was pulled, had good second. Miss Snodgrass had short drive and second short. Both reached the green in three and halved in five.

Sixteenth hole (310 yards).—Miss Campbell slurred her drive and the second reached the water bunker and played a very good fourth on to the green. Miss Snudgrass had a short drive, had good second, but the third mis3ed the green, but had a good fourth and won the hole in five to Miss Campbell's six. Seventeenth hole (250 yards).—Both good drives, and seconds short. Both had good approaches and the hole was halved in five, thus ending the game by two up and one to play after a very interesting and exciting game. Miss Campbell, therefore, won by two up and one to play.
