DEBATE IN THE REICHSTAG

BERLIN, May 26. In the Reichstag the debate on the foreign policy .was continued.
The Socialists declared that an understanding depended upon Germany alone, as Great Britain had repeatedly pronounced in favour of an Entente. Dr. Spahn, of the Centre (Roman Catholic) Party, desired that Germany’s relations- with England should be intimate and as good as possible.
Herr Basserman said : We must find means whereby we can secure rapprochement with Britain.
Count Kiderlin Waechter stated that it was erroneous to think that Germany was opposed to the abolition of the right of seizure at sea. He commended the English system of vigorously insisting on demands which fitted in with the British policy. BRITAIN PREPARING. LONDON, May 20.
