At a meeting of the National Council of the New Zealand Labour Party tonight the following resolution was passed : “That the National Council of Now Zealand Labour Party views with d ■< p regret the action of the Auckland members of the Party in congratulating the reactionary party of the Dominion on their succors at the recent poll and takes this first opportunity of JarOtiring that whatever opinions may have been expressed by the members concerned were purely their own tnvate views of the matter, and in no way lepresented the attitude of the New Zealand Labour Party, towards either Liberal or Con creative parties. IPs executive furthermore repudiates the action of any branch of the Party in officially supporting the candidature of any person other than pledged Labour men ; or in election contests where no Labour man is standing or taking any official part therein.’ ’ THE MAORI SEATS RESULTS OF TEE ELECTIONS. TV Rangihiroa (Dr. Buck) is leading by 295 with fourteen returns to conic which cannot alter the final result. Dr. Buck is a Government supporter. WESTERN MAORI.
