ENGLAND v. AN AUSTRALIAN XI. LOCAL TEAM AHEAD. [BT TaUGBAPH-iPBa PBMB ASSOCIATION. 1 BRISBANE, Dec. 10 The match between England -.nd an Australian XI was continued to-day in the presence of 10,000 spectators. The Englishmen were all out for 267 and the innings lasted shrs 22mins. Douglas was brilliant and batted 4hrs 27 mins. The bowling and fielding was Australia opened poorly, losing four wickets for 32. Trumper, Minnett, Kellaway and Crawford then batted splendidly. The bowling was good and the fielding moderate, several easy catches being dropped. Following are the scoes:— ENGLAND. First Innings.
