There is a possibility of a second, ballot) in South Christchurch. Mr. H. (|> Ell has only polled 19 votes in excess of an absolute majority of valid vote* and 45 absent voters permits were ■.issued.' Of the tot&I number of absent voters permits issued the Returning Officer has received seventy-three and it is possible these may contain sufficient votes for Mri.
