NEW BIG RIVER MINE.
MONTHLY REPORT. The monthly report from the New Bi» River mine is as follows: No. 10 Level North End.—No. 2 stope, reef from 6 to 28 feet in width. We have commenced to take along No. 3 stope. The reef is much broken about and from general appearances will reduce' in width as stoping is carried upwards. No. 10 South Western Level. —During a portion of the month we have been working in this level, the face consisting of from four to five feet of reef which is intermixed with small seams of mullock. Stopes over same level, reef from one to six feet in width. ' NB. 10 New Eastern Level Stopes.-4 Reef from 12 to 20 inches in width. New Eastern Intermediate Stopes. — Reef three feet in width. Western Intermediate Stopes. —Reef from one to seven feet in width. Returns.—s9s tons of stone have been crushed for a return of 506 ounces 16 dwts.', melted gold, and 450 tons of sands have been cyanided for a return of 70 ounces 1 ldwts. of bullion. The total value of these returns is approximately £2,200. Concentrates. —These now amount to 23 tons.at the battery and 50 tons in transit to New South Wales for treatment. ' .A dividend (the 34th) of One Shilling per share, absorbing £I2OO has been declared, and was payable on Inday, the Ist December, 1911.
