Dam, KateLord Rue (109) is a handsome chestnut horse, standing 16£ hands. He is beautifully mannered, perfectly sound, and has a public record of 2min 34sec for one mile. Lord Rue ran second at Plump(jon, first at Ellesmere, miles in 4min losec, winning by 60 yards, untrained. First at Plumpton Christchurch, one mile in iftnin 42sec. First at the Metropolitan Grand National Meeting, 1£ miles in 4min lSsec on a heavy track. Lord Rue has also the credit of winning the first race in New Zealand for trotters only, one mile in 2min 39sec, winning pulling up; also won the Ahaura Handicap, in the middle of the season, untrained, winning by 50 yards.
