THE THIIRD DEGREE,
NEW YORK, November 10,
The New York police have under lock and key two men whose operations in the delicate art of forging banknotes have resulted in the production of paper money representing a value cf over £200,000.
These men are now being subjected to the strenuous form of examination known as the "Third Degree" to compel them to reveal the whereabouts of the leaders of the international gang of which they were members. The police knew that this man, who was once a member of the chorus at the Metropolitan Opera House, is now in Europe, He ig an exceptionally clever forger, and has initiated £S,(XK) worth of notes on the Hanover National Bank.
