BLACKBALL NOTES.

Sir A. R. Gtrinncss, M.P., addressed one of the largest political meetings ever hold here in tiro history of Blackball in Stevens’ Hall on Thursday evening last, the hall being taxed to its utmost. Mr •James Muir presided, and briefly introduced the speaker,’ who spoke for fully two hours, the lines of his address being similar to those already published. His speech was punctuated with applause, and a few interjections. At the conclusion of the speaker’s address, the Chairman stated that any person desiring to vsk questions was quite at liberty to do so, when a considerable number of questions were asked arid most satisfactorily answered by the candidate. Tire speaker then received a vote of thanks and con{inned confidence.
The Pollard Picture Company, under lie able direction of Mr lom Moore, favoured Blackball with another of their iiapular visits on Saturday and Sunday ■venings last, and upon both nights were greeted with packed houses to witness he. excellent programme or pictures.
Mr P. C. Web delivered a political address in Stevens’ Hall on Sunday afternoon, when there was an excellent attendance. ■ Mr H. Finch presided. The candidate spoke for fully two hours, his address being punctuated with applause. His address was similar to that already published. The candidate, at the conclusion of his address, desired that the vote of confidence be left to the ballotbox on Thursday, December 7th. With a \ ote of thanks to the chair the meeting terminated.
