MICHEL’S CENTRAL COMMITTEE

(Forecasts by Kiunara Resident.)

(Published by Arrangement.)

South Westland.—Mr Michel will pull up nearly the whole of the 75 majority obtained by his opponent at the last election. At some polling places such as Waiho, where he was beaten last time, he will get substantial majorities. Ross. —This place has lost a considerable population, and has about 50 voters less than last election. Mr Seddon’s majority of 49 will be proportionately reduced.

Hokitika and Central District. —Hokitika will give Mr Michel 30 of a majority and the eight or ten polling 'places such as Rimn, Ruatapu, Koiterangi, Kaneiri, Three Mile, Arahura and Humphries another 30, making 600 in all. Stafford and Golclsborough.—Mr Sedden’s majority of 96 in the 1908 election vill bo reduced to 03.

Kumava District —Will be just as close >ns at last election, and at Kumara Junction a substantial minority will probably be changed into a. majority. Altogether Mr Michel will cross the Teremakau with 450 of a majority, and as excellent acounts , are coming from Grey Valley and the Otira line, Mr Michel’s election seems to be assured. New Districts.—The new districts, Waiuta, Brunner and Paroa seem to be all favourable to Mr Michel, and the new change of boundaries has certainly been of great benefit to him, as he will get substantial majorities in all those dis tricts.
