[m PBIS3 ASSOCtATIOW —COPTBIQHT.] BOMBAY, Dec. 2. Ideal weather prevails and there ait feverish efforts being made to finish the decorations. The public excitement in the arrival of Royalty is unexampled in living memory.. Portraits of their Majesties are selling in the streets in huge numbers. LATER. The brilliant sunshine continues. The harbour was full of decorated craft. •The Viceroy of India (Lord Hardinge) boarded the Medina and welcomed their Majesties. The one hundred and one guns salute was fired in the harbour, the first time. Their Majesties landed in the afternoon, to renewed salutes. Their arrival was a happy coincident to the Mohammedan Festival of Kakrid. The gayest clothing was in evidence at the reception by the Indian chiefs on landing and there were present officials, soldiers, clergy and judges. The magnificent pavilion was sui>orbly decorated with National flags including those of Australia and New Zealand. Their Majesties were seated on their golden thrones and the dais was canopied in royal bine. They received the city’s address. King George replied that one of his first desires after his accession was to visit his Indian subjects. Afterwards a stately procession through the city the Royal party returned to the Medina.
