NEW YORK, December 2At Los Angelos, James McNamara pleaded guilty to a charge of murdering Charles Haggerty a machinist, killed in the Times’ explosion. John McNamara pleaded' guilty to placing dynamite in the Llewellyn ironworks. Later.
The McNamara result created an immense sensation throughout the United States. The labour organisation were prominently engaged to defend the McNamara and the latters’ plea of “guilty” came as a severe blow to the labour ranks. The prosecuting Attorney assorts that the McNamaras did not intend to murder the “Times” employees as the bomb was insufficient in power to destroy the building, but the tuts explosion, which started a fire, caused the deaths.
James will bo sentenced to life immisonment and John to fifteen years, if the Court agrees to the judgment on Tuesday next. It is stated that further outrages are likely in Los Angelos due to the illfeeling aroused by the trial NEW YORK, December 3.
The National Electors Association, on Employers’ Day, proposes an investigation to find the instigators’ McNamaras.
