LONDON, Dec. 1. In the Hons© of Commons the report stage of the Insurance Bill was concluded. 470 Government amendments were passed by the assistance of the guillotine. The Hon A. Bonar Law declared that an outrage was being perpetuated in order that there should he no obstacle to Home Rule. If the Op position challenged the divisions 'the House ivould have to sit until 7.30 on Saturday evening. The Hon. Lloyd-George said the Bill was supposed to he non- contentions. Tho Opposition left the House in a body when tho divisions wore called.

Some 528,000 protests against the National Insurance Bill have reached the House of Commons.

The general Federation of Trade Unions has strongly protested against separate administrations of the Insurance funds in Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The leaders fear the disintegration of trade unionism by encouraging the Scottish and Welsh committees to insist on controlling their own business. Medical men declare that the Hon. D. Lloyd George’s proffered amendments are utterly inadequate.
