The natives informed Sir Robert Stout and Mr. Waldegrave that they were perfectly satisfied with the administration of the Resident Commissioner, Captain Smith; They expressed the hope that Captain Smith would remain there. FOUND GUILTY. W. J. Wigmore was found guilty of the manslaughter of a native. The case lasted three days- Wigmore was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment and ordered to leave the Islands.
