Opie, who went home to compete in the Festival of the Empire sports, has strained a tendon, but is hopeful of resuming training in a week. Woodger, another member of the New Zealand team, is indisposed and is not expected to compete in any of the events before the championships. SCULLING. ARNST AND PEARCE SETTLE MATTERS. SDYNEY, June. 6. Pearce - and Arnst have signed articles for a raco on July 29th. Later. Arnst and Pearce have agreed to settle the division of money between themselves. Arnst said that if he won he would get the bigger share. If Pearce won he could have a bigger share.
