GOVERNMENT SECURES A REPORT. [BY TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] GISBORNE, This Day. Interviewed respecting the Prime Minister’s statement that he would have an independent report prepared on the oilfields of New Zealand, Mr J. D. Henry said that he had been formally requested to undertake the work. The report will be sent to the Department of Mines before next session. On completion of his investigation Dr Henry leaves for the olfields of Calfomia and North West Canada. He is due to arrive in London early in May.
