PAROA RESIDENCE SITES.

THE APPLICATIONS REFUSED. At the Warden’s .- Court yesterday afternoon the applications of Frank Morgan, Frederick Kean and James Shannon (Mr Bryne), for residence sites of one .acre each on ; South Beach were opposed by My John Webber Greenslade (Air Kitchingham). Air Bryne having argued jn favor of their being granted, Air Kitchingham called J. W. Greenslade who stated that he held the land applied for on an ..occupation license and he held no other land except a. residence site which had come info his possession through a bad debt and he had to take it in payment thereof. He detailed the position of the pegs and admitted that they were. put in rightly but there were no trenches made as required by the provisions of the Act, Marks as of.a peg or a pick having scratched the ground where the trenches should be were to be seen but no, attempt had been mad© to cut a trench.

This evidence was corroborated by Michael AlcGrath and William Greenslade and the Warden upheld the objection and allowed costs £3 12s to the objector.
