[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.] LONDON, February 20.—The man Hutchison, who put some poison in the food which he supplied some relatives, who died after partaking of it, suicided at the moment he was arrested on a charge of committing the crime. Later.—Hutchison was suspected of the Dalkeith poisoning because a bottle of arsenic was missing from his employer’s shop. He carried coffee from the kitchen to the guests in the dining room. He was understood to he suffering from some form of dementia, and was apparently jealous of the deceased guests’ attention to a, woman. He spent several days in .Jersey under the name of Harrison, and was growing a beard. He stayed indoors and stated be belonged to the Ilford police. The sergeant, was pursuing Hutchison upstairs in a hoarding house in Guernsey, when Hutchison drew a phial containing prussic acid from his pocket and swallowed the contents. The sergeant seized the phial but death was almost immediate.
