THE GREY ELECTORATE.
LABOR CANDIDATE NOT SELECTED. [to the editor.] Sir, —I have just seen a report in today’s issue of your paner, stating that I am a probable candidate f or the Grey seat at tire next general election. I desire to inform you that there is no foundation for the report. The selection of a Labour candidate for this scat is entirely in the hands of the members of the Labour Party in this electorate, and they have not even considered the matter yet. We have now six branches of the Labour Party in this electorate, but in all probability will increase the number of branches before the selection of a Labour candidate will be made. In this as well as in other electorates, where Labour candidates will be run for seats, all the members as well as all the branches, will take part in the selection of candidates for their respective electorates. Yours, etc., H. A. CAMPBELL, Labour Organiser.
