Butter. —The market is lifeless At large supply second class quality is 'on hand which affects the market very seriously. The shipment of butter ox! “lonic” arrived in good condition. This season's choicest New Zealand butter! to-day is 112.;. The choicest New Zealand butter (store) is 109)-; Australian 109 y-; Danish 115 y-; Siberian 104/-. , •; Oiieese. —The market is firm but the demand is only moderate. Canadian 57 /'-. Hemp.—The market is lifeless *nd. there is no change in prices, viz., New Zealand good fair on spot, per ton £24 10s ; fair grade £2l 10s ; fair cnr‘ rent Manila £2l. forward shipment New Zealand good fair £24 10s ; fair grade £2l 10s; fair current Manila £2O ss. i
The output from Manila for the week was 26,000 bales. Kauri gum.—The market is quiet and prices slightly weak. Ordinary to fair three quarter scraped £8 ss; fair half scraped, £5 2s 6d ; brown fair, half to three-quarter scraped, 90/•; Brown pickings common to good 50/-; bush fair to good pale and amber scraped, £8 10. Wool. —The market is steady with a very good demand.
