THE GOVERNOR.
VISIT TO WOODVTLLE SCHOOL.
[BX TELEGRAPH— PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WOODY IDLE, October 21. The Governor had a strange and pleasant experience when passing through Woodvile this afternoon on his way from Hastings to Fcatherston in liia motor car. In front of the school two of the girls had a barrier'of red, white and blue ribbon stretched across the street, and, of course, the car was brought to a standstill. The Mayor then went up to the car and said to His Excellency that the school children were anxious to have a look at him. The Governor, who seemed pleased at the interruption of his journey, left the car, and the Chairman of the school Committee and the headmaster were presented to him. After the children had all lined up, His Excellency addressed them, telling them how pleased lie was to meet them in such a strange manner. He made special reference to to-day being Trafalgar Day, and hoped they would emulate the creator of the day, and do their duty to King and Country. Cheers wore then given for the Governor. who then left on his journey for Featherston.
