The New Zealand Railway Officers’ Advocate for October affords especially good reading to members of the Railway Service of all classes, and the contributor of the notes from the Westland Section makes it of particular interest to those in this district, as his interesting notes occupy a whole pane of this month’s copy. They are very readable, and will be appreciated as giving a review of everything done during the month worthy of record. In this respect it is a most welcome magazine, as there are contributions from every district in the colony, and tells of the doings and promotions or transfers of officers from one end of the dominion to the other. The paper is capitally edited, and the get-up generally is a credit to the editor, Mr R. C. Morgan, of Dunedin.
