PACIFIC OP. OFFENSIVE. TWO DISTINCT VIEWS. [PER press association—copyright.] Removed this day at 8.20 a.m. 'PARIS, May 22. Lo Matin states that the Kaiser had a conversation with M. Pi chon. From his tone, it was evident that he had, with sincerity, developed the theory that the great Nations of Europe should, in the interests of humanity and civilisatinon, remain closely united and co-operate in _ forming a powerful peace confederation. The Kaiser had a long conversation with Lord Kitchener. BERLIN, May 21.
The Vossichezeitun, in a bitter article, described Britain and Russia’s Persian policy as an attempt to hem in Germany commercially. The writer asks if at the present moment at any point in the world, are there two powers who believe themselves able to force us, Germany, to bow to their dictation, and, if so, the writer asks, shall we recognise this condition of things as lasting for all time.
