GREYMOUTH GOLF CLUB

On Saturday ‘afternoon there was a large gathering of the lady members at the links being the first competition of the season. Several players competed but owing to the bad state of the links the scores were very high. Miss Olive Stanford made the best gross score, but Mrs Lewis was dt clared the winner with Mrs W. E. Thomas 2nd and Misses B. and A. Kettle tying for 3rd place. The Junior division was won by Miss Berthelson (who with practice should be a promising player). Miss Dorothy Broad 2nd, Mrs Carter 3rd. On June 4th the next medal competition takes place and it is to hoped there will be more coiirpeitiors in the Junior division ana most probably it- will be arranged that matches in this division will be played on the Wednesday following the Seniors instead of Saturday as previously stated.
