THE UNREST IN THE BALKANS

TROUBLE WITH GREECE. AMAZING RELEVATIONS. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.] CONSTANTINOPLE, May 19. Numerous telegrams protesting against the Cretan Assembly taking the oath of allegiance to the King ot Hellenes were read in the Turkish Chamber. The debate which followed is considered an adequate reply to the telegrams. The Chamber will await the result of the Government’s action.

A commission classified 500 of A bill Hamid’s secret reports which were seized at Yielding Kiousk. Threats made to publish the reports caused consternation as the records incriminate so many officials that the publication would create general • confusion. During an acrimonious debate in the Chamber the Grand Vizier favoured the destruction of the records.
