GREY BREWERY COMPANY.
The animal meeting of the above-named company \fas held in-McCarthy's' Commercial room last evening, twenty shareholders being present, Mr P. Grogan occupied the chair. The following report was read,) received and adopted: "Your directors beg to submit the statement, of accounts and balance sheet for the year ending 31st January, 1610. "The profit and loss account shows a profit of £328 16s 4d, out of which your Directors recommend a dividend at the rate of 7 1 . per cent. "The outlook" tor the future is exceptionally bright, the beer is giving universal satisfaction, ami the prosperity which attended the operations of the company during the past year bids fair to be eclipsed dmiug the present financial year. "Mr J. McCarthy retired from .the Directorate during the- year, much to* the regret of your Directors. "Three directors are to be elected, those retiring being Messrs Kettle and Lynch, who are eligible and offer themselves for j>'e-election, and vacancy caused by Mr McCarthy's resignation. "The. auditors, Messrs Doogan and White, also retire and are eligible and offer themselves for re-election. The Chairman and Messrs W. R. Kettle and James Lynch, in sneaking to the report, congratulated the company on the successful" busincss,,done for the past year, and moved that a dividend of 1{ per cent be declared. This was unanimously earned. The Secretary -was instructed to pay out the dividend at once. the election for three directors took place, and resulted in Messrs Lynch,,/ulguiir and Kettle being returned. Messrs J. L. Doogan and White were re-elected auditors. Owing to Mr*F. Keddell being unable to take up the position of traveller to the company lie resigned his position as secretary. After several shareholders had spoken regarding his services, it was nnanimouslv resolved that he be accorded a he.artv'vote of thanks, and that a bonus . Hotelkeepers pronounced the beer as the best on the Coast, which snoke well for Mr Keden. To mark the shareholders' appr?ciation. a bonus jf £lO 10s and a In arty vote of thanks were ac•orded him. Messrs Keddell and lvjtden briefly returned thanks for the honor they had roliffrred on them. Votes of {hanks were passed to past i directors and also to the Chairman for j presiding.
