No work of importance was done at KHei.-lie this morning, as all the horses were confined to steadv pacing. l'.irkdale, Woodhey, Dazzling, Reservoir, Goldfinder and .Auldearn arrived yesterday, and were all out this morning, but were restricted to light exercise. RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. CHRISTCIIURCH, This Day. Training operations at Iticcarton this morning were uninteresting. Flitaway, lookin gwell, and Husbandman separately compassed a circuit at threequarter pace. Sharpshooter and Madam Madcap put in a good working gallop of seven furlongs. Tikitere went twice round at half pace. Loyola showed to more advantage than Ratepayer and Southern Cross in a schooling task over five flights. Hon. J. D. Ormond's quartette Formby, Sir Tristram, Selene and Parula were out all looking ver> well.
