That Greymouth possesses goldsmiths of undoubted skill and art was evidenced by the handsome gold key presented to "Mr Alison at Brunner laet Wednesday evening. The key, which was of solid West Coast gold, was manufactured by Messrs Gilbert Bros, in their own workroom, and is a most creditable production of the jeweller's art. The sharebrokers of Greymouth, at a meeting held yesterday afternoon, decided to form a sharebrokers' association, which will meet twice a day, viz., at noon and at 3.30 p.m. Mr G. Henniker is secretary of the Association, the membership of which includes all the local brokers. In another column Messrs Thomas and Meßeath announce the continuanoa of their clean-sweeping sale, as their spring goods have begun to arrive and accommodation is required to store them, prior to their being displayed. Such bargains as they are offering now should cause a rush to secure them.

A very interesting and instructive address was given by "Mr G. K. Ward, dentist, to the members of the St. John Ambulance Nursing Division last evening the subject being the care of the teeth which was very much appreciated by all present. At the conclusion of the address a very hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Ward for his kindness in going so fully into a subject of so great importance.
