ST COLUMBA CLUB.
Tborc was a Large attendance of members at St. (’oltiniba Club Rooms on Monday evening last, when a considerable amount of business was gone through. Mr. K. Casey (\ ice-I’resident) i con pied the chair. Before proceeding with the business of the evejiiiig tin- Chairman welcomed to (be rooms Mr. M. Daly .a prominent and enthusiastic -Ini. member from Boulder City, Western Australia. Mr Daly in responding thanked the mem-, hers o| the t’lul. for the very hearty reception accorded him and congratulated them <<ii being in possession of such a splendid library and club rooms

O’Neill and .). M. Clone. Rev. Father Taylor and Rev Brother Arthur judged the debate, and alter a most interesting ami instructive discussion the aAyoeales "1 the aflinuativo side were declared victorious by a very small margin. Rev. Father Taylor congratulated tho junior speakers on the splendid speeches delivered by them and expressed the hope that in the near tuture lu' would have the pleasure of judging another set of juniors in debate.
