"Although we are obliged to call this public meeting for the election of new Trustees and the consideration of our balance sheet, on Ihe 2nd Thursday in January our officers retain office until March 31at following, as we considered it most inadvisable and somewhat, unfair for a new set of Trustees and Officers to take over the management of this Society and be responsible for the raising of the necessary £IOO in the space of three months, we therefore continue to administer until the 31st March 1909, when the new Officers and Trustees would take up their duties.— Annie Scantlebury, President."
The balance sheet road by the Secretary showed the receipts for the past nine months to be £74 leaving a balance of £26 to be got before the 31st March to make up the necessary £IOO. The three Senior Trustees, viz., Mosdumes ScanUebury, Lewis and Eddy retired and were re-elected on the motion of Mrs Calder, Secretary by Mrs Penrose. A hearty vote of thanks to the President for the able manner in which she hack performed the duties of her office terminated the meeting.
