COMMERCIAL NEWS.

LIVE STOCK MARKET. At Treston Yards yesterday 50 cattle and 120 sheep and lambs were entered. There was the usual attendance of buyers. Only a small portion of the cattle was prime, and these met with spirited competition at prices in advance of late rates, the trade declining to compete for halffinished cattle, and a number were passed in unsold. Prime heavy weight bullocks fetched £8 12s 6d to £l7 15s for medium; fat heifers (good quality) £5 7s 6d. Fat sheep—Ewes and wethers 19s 3d to 17s 6d; fat lambs, 14s 6d.
