Pkess Association—Copxright.] DARING ROBBERY. WAIHI, This Day.—A daring robberywas committed at a boardinghouse last night, when jewellery valued at £SO, and cash £2O, were stolen. The thief entered through a backdoor, and "escaped through a bedroom window. The cash-box and jewel-case were found inside an adjoining hedge. A BUTCHER FINED. AUCKLAND, This Day.—Albert Edward Wight, butcher, was charged at Paerba with having fed pigs with raw offal. Defendant was fined £5 and costs.
