I SYDNEY Mar 26.—The Agricultural Show was one of the finest ever held in Sydney. There wero 5300 competitive exhibitors of farm produce and the display eclipsed past shows. Sir Foote won the champion ship foi' thorough bred stallions, but having held it for two years the prize passes to Projectile, who also won a special prize. Ribbonwaad won tho trotters' championship. When the Prince cf Wales accepted the honorary colonelcy of the Light Horse Regiment i r Australia he presented a hundred guinea silver cup for .competition in the section of drill riding and shooting. At the same time Major-Ceneral Hutton presented a fifty guinea shield for a similar purpose. New South Wales secured both prizes, South Australia and Westralia being second and third. , PRIZE WINNERS. SYDNEY, This Day—The New Zea land bred horse, Darnley Again, won the Blue Ribbon for three-year-old stallions. In fat sheep, James Johns won the first, second and third prizes for crossbred wethers, and. special prize for the heaviest and fattest sheep. THE BETTING SHOPS. MELBOURNE, This Day—The Cabinet has decided against accepting the surrender of Wren's and Tattersail's Clubs, and the eases must now proceed.
