GREY WARDEN’S COURT.

MONDAY, MAY 14th, 1906, (Before W.G. K. Konrick, Esq, Warden.) A. McKay, special claim of 60 acres at Barrytown.* The Warden adjourned the application, which is for an area north of the Grey River, and is consequently affected by the decision of the Government to temporarily reserve that area. The application will bo called on June 25th. T. J. Jack and others, sawmill area and two reservation areas of 200 acres each near Kotuku. It had previously been arranging that a deed defining the boundaries of the various areas held by Messrs T. 11. Ivor (Christchurch), E. Nybergand the present applicants should be drawn up, and signed and lodged in the Court before the" applications are finally dealt with. The deed had accordingly been drawn up and had been forwarded to Christchun.lt for signature, but had not yet been returned. The Warden granted an adjournment to May 25th. E. M. Shccdy, sawmill area of 800 acres at Marsdcn. The Crown Land Ranger’s report was to the effect that the apjication overlapped the scenic reserve in that locality. The Warden made an adjournment to Juno 11th in order that the boundaries may he readjusted. Cat herine Saunders and others, dam at New River. The Mining Inspector (Captain Richards) reported that it was- not desirable to make a storage dam, but it could be used to divert the water from Ihe creek into the race. Other dams could he made on the tributaries. The application was adjourned to May 28th, when the applicant will submit modified proposals. J. Condon (jun. )witbdre\V Ins appbca lion for residence site at South-: Beach. Henry Hudd was, therefore, allowed objectors costs. J. and E. Evans, sawmill areas and two reservations of 200 acres each at Poecua. Adjourned to May 28tb for Ranger’s report. A. E. Hacckoll, residence area of acre on Paroa road.—Adjourned to May 2Sth in order that enquiries can be made to ascertain whether the area is situated on lands that it is proposed to reserve tor Workmen’s Homes.. The applications of A. Ball for ordinary claim of one acre at North Beach; F. W. Michel, for residence area, and A. Perry and P. Kennedy, prospecting license of 20 acres, Ton 5%, were adjourned to June 25th on account of temporary reservation. F. Laurie and C. Lind, surrender McLean’s Creek.—Granted.
