GREYMOUTH JOCKEY CLUB

The usual monthly meeting of the committee of the Greymouth Jockey Club was held in the club room,; Albion Hotel, last evening when there were present Messrs Sheedy'(chair), Walton, Bignell, Smith, Yarrall, Gieseking, and Ponsonby. _ ' The Programme Committee submitted a draft programme for the. midsummer meeting. After discussion, it was resolved to reduce the prize money in the Greymouth Cup to £250, and to introduce a hack race each day. the prize money to be £4O for Jockeys' licenses were granted to J. McKinley and M. Williams. A trainers license was granted to W. H. Fergus, and an apprentice's: license to E. G. Murfitt. A gentleman rider's license was granted lo Mr David Binney. Mr T. Coates was no minated as a member of the club. The programmes of the following clubs were approved: Takaka, Januarv 11th; Nelson January 29th and 30th; Motneka Valley,' January Ist ; Reofton, December 26th and 27th, and Murchisoii, December 26th.
