Right Hon Mr Brodrick, speaking at Godaiming, said his regret at Lord Curzon’s resignation was greater than that of any of his colleagues, because it was imperative to carry out the great reform. Lord Cnrzon did his duty to the best of his ability, and had the unanimous support of the Cabinet and Indian Council, including a dozen officials of mature Anglo-In-dian experience appointed for a decade, also a strong committee, including Lord Roberts, Field Marshal White, and other experts.
