Live Stock Report.

Messrs G. W. Moss and Co. report yesterday's sale at Preston Yards as follows :

The entry consist id of 80 prime cattle, 350 heavy sheep, ex-ship, a'so 100 prime sheep, 100 prime lambs from the Grey Valley and Lake Poerua. The entry was far in excess of requirements, 30 cattle and 150 sheep being unsold. We placed the following stock : Fat Cattle—On account of Mr John McGregor, 11 prime bullocks, £l4 to £l2. On account of Weyburne 11 prime bullocks, £llls to £lllos. Pat Sheep—On account of Mr John McGregor, 75 heavy wethers, 20 6; 14 heavy wool ewes, 243 6d; on account of Mr J. Fitzgerald 10 prime sheep 17s 9d, on account of E. Byon, 5 at 19s, on account of Mr Corcoran 40 owes (light weights) 14s 9d to 14a 6d, on account of W. Ryan 25 heavy sheep (woolly) 21s 6d. Fat lambs—On account of Mr Ryan 25 extra prime, 15 ; on account of E. Ryan 20 at 13s; on account of J. Fitzgerold, 20 extra prime, 14s Od; on account of T, W. Bruce, 30 at 12s 9d; on account of Mr Corcoran, 50 at lis 6d.

Mark Sprot and Co. report their sale at Preston Eoad yesterday : The entry consisted of 80 fat cattle and 400 fat sheep ex-ship, and 200 fat local sheep and lambs. Values were on a par with late rates with a slight decline in some instances. A small portion of the yarding was left unsold, tho prices offered not reaching vendor's ideas. We - sold on account of Messrs Abraham and Williams 30 prime bullocks from £l4 to £10; 100 fat ewes and wethers 18a 6d, on account of Mr Pullen wethers at 18s 6d, lambs 13s 6d.
