WAIHI CONCILIATION BOARD.

(per press asso .ration,)

Wat in, This Day. The Conciliation Board resumed this morning.

Barry, who at the close of the proceedings yesterday refused to answer the Union’s question, said that he had given the matter consideration and would make a statement to the Board. In discharging the men he acted, he believed, in the best interest of his company and the main body ol workers. On rejection he was prepared to admit that in dismissing men he might have acted impulsively. And if the judgment of the Board after hearing the whole evidence on the question it was felt that he had acted contrary to the provision of the Conciliation and Abitration Act, lie was prepared to frankly admit that lie had committed an error of judgment.
