Another Train Wrecked and Looted.

London, April 21. The ambushing of a party of the Ninth Lances occurrred near Krugersdorp. A cattle, coal and forage train captured at night near Molteno, was looted and burned. The engine escaping without the tender reached Stonnborg Junction, and fetched troops, who on arrival found the Boers vanished.

A train with passengers and English mails proceeded the wrecked train. War Honors. Lieut. R. D. Fitzgerald of the 11th Hussars lias been awarded the distinguished service order. Private Harold of the Westraliau Mounted’s has been awarded a distinguished service medal, Captains Lord Loch of the Grenadier Guards, Hon. T. B. Brand of the 10th Hussars, have each been promoted to the rank of major. Received this day at 9 10 a m. London, April 21.

Most of the generals commanding in South Africahavo been made commanders of the Bath. They include LieutenantGenerals French, Pole-Carew. Hector, MacDonald, Methuen and Brabant. The following other Honors have been gazetted:—Major-General Baden Powell, Colonel Wovels and Sampson Companions of the Bath. Bed vers Buller, Lord Kitchener, Lieut-General Forrester Walker, Sir George White, Knights of tho Grand Cross of St. Michael and St. George, Major-General Hutton, Knight Commander of the Order of St. Michael and St. George.
