SCHOOL COMMITTEES ELECTIONS.

Copying wood. Seven householders only at tended at the Institute on Monday evening, aud, after a ballot, (one written consent having been sent in), elected themselves as Committee for the ensuing year, viz : Messrs T. McNabb, H. B. Riley, Rev. Parker, F. G. Blake, A. Fanthorpe, G. MacFarlane and W. Fowler. Mr A. R. McGrane was the only other candidate. Mr H. B. Riley occupied the chair. At a subsequent meeting of the Committee, Mr McNabb was elected chairman aud Mr Riley secretary. Bainham. Very little interest was shown in the election here, only the required number being nominated, aud they were duly elected as follows: Messrs T. Isaac, H. R. Heslop, F. L. West, Jos. Walker, J. W. Ferguson. R. A. Macadam and W. Jeffries. Mr W. Jeffries was elected Chairman and Treasurer. PAKAWAU. The following are the names of the householders elected 011 this CommiUee Messrs A. R. Davidson, (Chairman) R. Fletcher, G. Scrirngeour, R. Walker, and W. Graves. Fjxrntown. The householders elected were : Mrs Crook, Messrs W. D. Scrirngeour, (Chairman) J. H. Richards, W. Solly aud A. Walker. Kaituna. Proceedings here were, as usual during the last few years, somewhat animated and more than perfunctory. There was quite a lively

meeting and a fair number of ladies attended a .id recorded their votes. The ballot resulted in the election of the following gentlemen : Messrs E. Fletcher, (Chairman) A. Berry, (Secretary) W. A. Scott, (Treasurer) J. Carter and A. Diamond. Rockvii.lh. Competition after seats on the Committee in this district was not brisk, but some changes were made in the personnel of the Committee, which is this year constituted as follows Messrs M. White, (Chairman) A. McNeil, Secretary and Treasurer) D. Forno, Hubert Lash, J. G. Lash, G. League, Alf Field.
