Legacy to the Late Queen.

An eccentric lawyer, some years ago, bequeathed the whole of his fortune amounting to nearly a quarter of a million sterling, to the late Queen Victoria, to whom ho was personally unknown. The testator was a Mr. Neild, of Lincoln’s Inn, whose will was proved on October 21, 1852, and his estate sworn to be under £250,000. The will, in the handwriting of the testator himself, may be seen at Somei'set House. It is brief. He begins by saying he wished to be interred in Battei'sea Church, and after giving £IOO to each of his executors, says, “I give all real and personal property to which I may be entitled at law or in equity unto her Most Gracious Majesty Queen Victoria, for her own private use and advantage.”
