WEST WANGANUI CRICKET CLUB. (Contributed.) At a general meeting of the Cricket enthusiasts of West Wanganui on September Gth a Club was formed with Mr R. Hursthouse as its jiresident and a membership of fifty. Notwithstanding the many difficulties which presented themselves to the lovers of the “ good old game” favomable ground has been obtained and ail the necessary material is on hand ready for an early start. Under the present circumstances the Club promises to have a brilliant and prosperous future, and judging by the number of its members the Club ought to send a team into the field which would give a good account of itself by the end of this reason.

[ The above communication reached us without any signature. Surely the West Wanganui Club are not ashamed of the name of their Secretary.— Ed G.B.A.]
