The present hot weather will convince every woman that a delicate complexion needs to be taken some care of. The penalty is, it is lost temporarily at best, permanently at worst. A good face-wash is composed of : Two pcrts pale brandy and one part rose water ; bathe the face with this night and morning. The brandy cleanses the skin and keeps up a gontle action, while the rose water counteracts the drying nature of the spirit, keeping the flesh supple and delicate. Wrinkles, which are the result of advancing years, may be remedied by applying the following waßh three times a day :—Alum, 1 drachm ; glycerine, 1 ounce; water, 1 pint. Any good oil, such as deodorised linseed oil, is excellent to rub into the wrinkled part at night ; but wrinkles, when thoroughly established, will not yield to treatment. I can cordially recommend women of every age a lotion of Hungary Water. It derives its name from a Queen of Hungary, who being advised by an alchemist to use the water, preserved her youthful appearance to an advanced age ; she being, according to tradition, demanded in marriage at the age of 70 by a grand duke. So infatuated was this suitor that, though tinder age—he demanded an early union. After her marriage Elizabeth, as a present to the people of Hungary, made the recipe of 'Queen of Hungary's Water.' Rectified spirit of wine and essence of rosemary are two of the chief constituents of this famous water. O
