A porter came to the carriage-window and asked : “ Are you first-class, ma’am ?” “ Well, I’m not exactly first-class, but I’m purty well, thank you,” replied the lady, as the train moved slowly out of the station. And she added to her fellow-passen-gera : “They do say a great dale against them porters, but that’s a nice civil-spoken-youngjman ”
