AFTER SIX YEARS
RECAPTURE OF ESCAPEE ARREST IX QUEENSLAND (Pen Press Association). Wanganui, Jan. 31 George James C'ulleu, alias J. Murray, who escaped from Waikune prison camp, near National Park, six years ago. was apprehended in Queensland and lias lieen brought back to the Dominio*) at the request ol' the New Zealand [Hilice. and will lie charged before a Magistrate in Court here in the morning. Cullen, who was 28 years of age at the time of his escape, made a dash for liberty on March 2b, 11)28. As he was getting away several shots were fired at him by a warder, but he was not hit. An extensive search was set in motion in rough bush country in tlie National Park region, but Cullen succeeded in getting clear, and it was not until some time ago that lie was located in Queensland-.
