Moroney and family at a social in the Oddfellow's’ Hall, to bid them farewell prior to their departure for the Old Country, where they w'ill take up their future resilience. A musical prop-ramme was contributed to by Misses B. Dewe. E. Redwood and AlcBrearty and Messrs N. Short a 11. Fletcher, Feeney and Moroney. Mr T. Collins was M.C. The Rev. Father Broughton in making a presentation, eulogised the work of the departing family in the parish On behalf of the parishioners he presented them with two handsome leather traveilin'- bags. Messrs Short all. Murphy and Collins also spoke of the good work done by Mr and Mts Moroney during their 18 years residence in Feilding and voiced Ihe regret felt at losing such valued members of the church. Mr Moroney suitably responded in returning thanks for himself and family. A delectable supper was served bv the Indies of the parish and the social concluded with the singing of ‘‘Auld Lang Syne.”
