FEILDING HORSE FAIR SATURDAY’S BIG YARDING An entry of over 100 horses came forward for the fair organised by the New Zealand Farmers’ Distributing Company. Ltd., at Feilding on Saturday, on t lies being received from Taranaki, Wanganui, Mart-oil Taihape, Woodville and Manavvatu. There was a large attendance oi op< raters, the bidding was keen and for good soils of draughts there \va. a good sale. In the hack section, quality was not of the best, and there was evident a demand for good hacks. The whole yarding changed hands under tho hammer, with the exception of a few inferior lots. The following are the quotations: Best young broken draughts, £9O to £3-3; others £'2o to £2S; aged draughts, £ll to £10; spring carters, £l4 to £2O; others, £8 to £H ; unbroken draughts (4-year geldings), £27 to £27 10s ditto (fillies), £23 t 0 £39; IS-montlis light draughts, £8 to £ll 10s; hacks, first, £6 to £10; others, £3 to £3; inferior lots, £1 to 30s { Shetland pomes, unbroken, £2 2s Ixl to £4 l-3s. Tho auctioneers announce that there is a good demand on the par*, of farmers for good draughts, which appear to be hi short and it is intended to conduct periodical liorso sales at Feilding.
