PALMERSTON PICTURES REGENT THEATRE “Looking- on the Bright Side,” another of those Elstree masterpieces that, have done so much to place Britain firmly on the map of the film world, is at the Regent Theatre. With that: inimitable comedienne, Grario Fields, in the stclla role, and it is guaranteed to put every one in a good mood. The supporting' programme includes Don Bradman in “How f Play Cricket” and Sir Harry Lauder singing “Roamin’ in the Gloaming.” PAT.ACE THEATRE For the final showing to-night. “Thirteen Women,” at the Palace Theatre, is the forerunner o fa now cycle of productions that will invade, unexplored ’occult territories. Trene Dunne and Ricardo Cortez' are co-starred, other players being Myrna Loy, Mary Duncan, Jill Esmond, Kay Johnson, Julie TTaydon. The supporting prog-ramme includes “Renegades of the West.” a dramatic feature. KOSY THEATRE A further example of British film workmanship is at the Kosy Theatre, “The Chinese Puzzle,” one of the most gripping and enthralling mystery stories ever adapted to the :novd s of the sound films. Austin Trevor and Leon M. Lion share honours with Jane Welsh and Elizabeth Allen in. this drama.. Chapter ; of “Heroes of the West.”
