CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATES MOVE AT CHULSTCHURCII (Fe* Press Association) Christchurch, Jan. 12 The nomination of candidates for the Christchurch City Council and for the North Canterbury Hospital Board was decided upon at; a general meeting of the Unemployed Worker./ Movement. Nominations will lie made by a general meeting, and will he balloted upon at a mass meeting of the unemployed workers, irrespective of whether they belong to any organisation. This is the second surprise that has been sprung on Labour circles tbis week. It was announced on Monday that the Socialist Party had dtM'ided to re-enter the i>olitical field after many years, as an organisation working for social reform and for propaganda purposes.
