MAX WHO HR<»VE OFF Hamilton, Jan. 14 Several attempts to evaile arrest. by a constable, driving- off in a horse and part, were made by Joseph Green, 72, of Foiling-, wood Street. He failed id appear on a charge of drunkenness while in charge of a horse and c-art when called on in the Magistrate’s C oitrt. Constable Andrew said the defendant, when apprehended, admitted he had. been drinking, bub drove off. Witness chased him, taking the reins and driving him to the police station Aroused was fined £1 with costs
